WHY I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR SENATOR MCCAIN!!

John McCain is a war hero but most conservatives will never vote for him. I do not consider myself a conservative but I will not vote for him either. There are many reasons why I can't vote for him. The biggest problem I have with him is that he wanted the 12 million illegal immagrants that were here in the United States to get a path to citzenship. This bill was sponsered by John McCain and Ted Kennedy. He says he changed his view and will secure the border first but i don't trust him and think he is just saying this so he can become presdient.

The next problem that I have with the senator from Arizona is he wanted to bring back the fairness Doctorine. It was created in 1949 and then in 1984 the Superme Court ruled that the scarcity rationale underlying the doctrine did not apply to expanding communications. It was then scraped by the great Ronald Reagen in 1987. After that happened Rush Limbagh came to the scene in 1989. With this doctorine you have to have a equal-time rule that TV and Radio must broadcast stations must provide an equivalent opportunity to any opposing political candiates. Liberals want to bring it back because they can not compete with talk radio. They have tried and failed with Air America. This is a dangerous idea because it is cutting off the 1st amendment to the constition and if radio stations have to have liberals and conservatives on. This might sound like a good idea but it truly is not a idea. Radio stations have advertisments to sponsor their programs and if nobody listens then the advertisments will drop. This will cause the end of talk radio. Yes i will admit that talk radio leans Republican HOWEVER, liberals have all the news channel minus Foxnews. Will they let conservatives on CNN or MSNBC I don't think so.

The next problem I have with McCain is he worked with Russ Feingold to pass Campaign finance reform. This is a McCain tried to limit the role of money in politics with measures that, critics say, stomp on the constitutional right to free speech. This is the reason that Newt Gingrich decided not to run for presdient. If he would of ran for presdient him and his people of Solutions for America could of went to jail.

Tax Cuts McCain twice voted against President Bush's tax cuts, saying in 2001 they helped the wealthy at the expense of the middle class and in 2003 that there should be no tax relief until the cost of the Iraq war was known. But he now wants to extend the tax cuts. I am sorry again I do not believe him.

He believes in Al Gore's hysteria. Yeah thats right he believes in Global Warming. McCain and Liberman have a bill that is advocating that the United States have mandatory limit or "cap" on greenhouse gas emissions. The McCain-Lieberman bill would require certain industrial sectors to collectively reduce emissions through a system of buying and selling pollution credits, known as a "cap and trade" approach that worked successfully to reduce acid rain. Experts believe this will rise gas prices by 50 cents. It also doesn't call for any other country to limit their greehouse gases. Yes we do have the highest pollution rate but China is closely coming in 2nd. I do agree that it would be good to cut down on emissions but not alone. I wish liberals and people who believe in Global Warming the world goes thru cycles. Heres the top 5 countries.

Country Annual CO2 emissionsin (thousands of metric tons) Percent of world
United States 6,049,435 22.2%
China 5,010,170 18.4%
European Union 3,115,125 11.4%
Russia 1,524,993 5.6%
India 1,342,962 4.9%

The Republican nominee also doesn't want to drill for oil in Alaska. We need to drill for our own oil so we don't have to depend on crazy dictators or terrorists for our oil. Here is a direct quote from the Senator "As far as ANWR is concerned, I don’t want to drill in the Grand Canyon, and I don’t want to drill in the Everglades. This is one of the most pristine and beautiful parts of the world. Yes i do have to agree with him that its beautiful but according to the Governor of Alaska says it won't damage it. The reason it won't completely destroy they would use only 2,000 acres of the 20 million acres. It would give Americans 1.6 million barrels of oil per day and create jobs.

The next issue I have with the war hero is that he opposes getting rid of the Death Tax. After paying years and years of paying taxes why should you pay Uncle Sam again? I think this is wrong.

He has been good with the war effort but he opposes Guantanamo Bay. I have to scratch my head and wonder why? We don't want these sorry excuse for human beings in our country so where else can we put them? He says he wants to close Guantanamo but doesn't have a solution on where these people would go?

Now i got all my problems with John McCain out there; now its time to talk about the good things he has done. Conservatives are going to disagree with me on the first two issues I am going to throw out there. First he opposes a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. I have to agree with him because I think it should be up to the states to decide not the federal goverment. In 2004 he broke away from Republicans and said it was anti-Republican to want a constitutional amendment. He then said this "The constitutional amendment we're debating today strikes me as antithetical in every way to the core philosophy of Republicans," McCain said. "It usurps from the states a fundamental authority they have always possessed and imposes a federal remedy for a problem that most states do not believe confronts them." The next issue I agree with him that will get people mad is that he works with the other side? I think that is a good thing because in our democracy you can not get things done if you don't compromise. However, its a two way street if he works with Democrats on lets say Global Warming then the Democrats should have to work with him on lets say the War on Terror. But this doesn't happen. Also, if he wins the presdiency I think that conservatives should be able to have John's ear like Democrats have his ear. The last issue that I agree with him is the War on Terror. He's been such a big supporter for the troops and their mission. He knows what it is like to be on the front lines and is a true American.

In closing, I would vote for him if I had only a few problems with John McCain. As you can see I have many problems with him. He would be much better for America then Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton but many conservatives and myself will have major problems voting for him. He cannot and will not win the presdiency because of this. I myself going to do something I never thought I would do. That is NOT VOTE.

Just another Democrat!!!

Nancy Pelosi who I have to tell her congrats on being the first women speaker in the history of teh United States. However; Nancy Pelosi is just like every other democrat who wants to stab our troops in the back. In my opinion she doesn't want us to succeed in Iraq. We don't have 1 Republican who has said anything negative about our troops. They have invested in defeat in Iraq and they have set it up in a way that if we win in Iraq it will be bad for them politically. What a side to be on If your country loses a war that we have to win its bad for them. How patriotic. Heres the lastest statement by a Democrat and it is from our Speaker Nancy Pelosi “The purpose of the surge was to create a secure time for the government of Iraq to make the political change to bring reconciliation to Iraq,” Pelosi said on CNN’s “Late Edition.” “They have not done that.” Wow!Hey Nancy you better get your facts right; troop deaths and casulaties are down; Iraqi citizens deaths are down; and Al-Qata deaths are down. What this could mean is that just like news articles that state Al-Qaeda leaders admit: 'We are in crisis. There is panic and fear'. They are on the run. This is good for America. In the letters that were seized says that they once had a force of 600 people now its down to 20. So there are less people to kill. We cannot leave yet however, we should start pulling out troops slowly. If u want to believe this or not its your business.

If that is not enough proof; what if I told u that both sides of the Iraqi goverement met at a Baghdad Hotel with other leaders from around the arab world? yeah thats right. They met on the last Sunday in January. The purpose of the meeting was to develop long-term strategies for fostering Iraqi reconciliation, as well as a region-wide sense of unity among the followers of the different sects of the same sacred religion. The gathering may have seemed to many like a mere symbolic gesture, and indeed it attracted almost no coverage by the Western media. But when it comes to matters of faith, the strength of symbolism cannot be underestimated, and even the mere image of Iraqi Sunni and Shiite Muslims praying side by side at the conference on Sunday sent a powerful message of unity to the people of Iraq and beyond. It may of taken many years and decades but it has been done.

If we fail in Iraq not only will it put us in MORE DANGER hundreds of thousands of innoncent Iraqis will be killed. People compare this war in Iraq to our involvment in Vietnam which we could of won if we didn't leave. No i don't think she would accept the facts because she and her fellow democrats have invested in failing in Iraq. If America fails in Iraq it will be great for the DEMOCRATIC PARTY! That is sad but I honestly believe this. This is why I believe that Nancy Pelosi is just another Democrat! God Bless America and I pray for our future when either Barack or Hillary get into the White House.

Why I think the tax rebates by our presdient is a BAD idea

As many of my friends know I do support and agree with the president about 80 percent of the time. I will not agree with our Democratic Congress on this either. The two sides for a change have come to an agreement which could give the American people 850 billion dollars in tax rebates. The question is where is this money going to come from? Its going to put us more in debt with other countries. According to http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/Article1571.html we owe 600 billion dollars to Japan, 400 billion to China, owe our friend the United Kingdom 125 billion dollars. We also owe like 25 countries more then a billion dollars. We need to start taking down this debt because if we don't its just going to be worse for our future generations.

The best idea to stimulate the economy is to cut taxes accross the board! To explain, let's take a step back. By definition, an economy grows when it produces more goods and services than it did the year before. In 2007, Americans produced $13 trillion worth of goods and services, up 3 percent over 2006.Economic growth requires four main factors: 1) a motivated, educated and trained workforce; 2) sufficient levels of capital equipment and technology; 3) a solid infrastructure and 4) a legal system and rule of law sufficient to enforce contracts. It will not work because people are getting something for nothing to recieve the tax rebates no one has to work, save, invest or create any new wealth to receive a rebate. Our goverment both Republican and Democratic leaders think this will inject money into the economy. What they and most Americans don't understand is that every dollar that government rebates "inject" into the economy must first be taxed or borrowed out of the economy (and even money borrowed from foreigners brings a reduction in net exports). No new spending power is created. It is merely redistributed from one group of people to another.

The good thing about these tax rebates is it cuts taxes for businesses. Bonus depreciation," which allows companies to rapidly deduct qualified investment from their tax liability, makes new investment opportunities more profitable and attractive. This provision would increase business investment, which would create jobs and strengthen the economy. What would be even better is to extend Bush's tax cuts from 2003 which liberals are pushing to stop the cuts. One of the key components of the package is a targeted rebate that is refundable against payroll taxes. Proponents of rebates believe that people would quickly spend their rebates, thus providing a short-term boost to consumption and the economy. However, traditional economic theory holds that rebates have limited impact unless recipients believe their permanent income will increase. The rebate would also do little to change incentives to work or invest; thus, it would not be effective in boosting long-term economic growth. Tax rebates and similar cash transfers don’t stimulate the economy. The federal government cannot just wish new purchasing power into existence. The government must borrow the funds for the rebates, which means either less money available for investment or an increase in the trade deficit.
