What about Bob Jackson for presdient 2008?

I know that more then likely you never heard of Bob Jackson. He is running for presdient and is part of the libertatian party. He was born on September 23rd 1939. He has had many jobs throughout his life. He has done the following jobs: reporter, quality control, worked at a Philadelphia Navy Yard, welding, and now he is a teacher. I didn't go thru all his jobs if want to see the entire list go to http://bobjackson.org/biography.aspx. He got his BA and MA Education from Western Michgan Unviersty. He also served as a boy scout and in the US military.

What Mr. Jackson believes is that Congress has far exceeded the power granted by the Constitution and Congress will continue to grow under Democrats and Republicans alike. I do agree with him on that...

On energy he believes Both Democrats and Republicans are using tax dollars on the promotion of Ethanol as a significant fuel for the future. It makes no sense attacking the food supply when so many in the world do not have enough to eat. Most importantly there is more fossil fuel energy required to make ethanol than ethanol energy produced. Cornell University has summarized this net loss of energy as the following, Turning plants such as corn, soybeans, and sunflowers into fuel takes more energy then the resulting ethonal or biodiseal generates according to a new study. In terms of energy output for ethenoal production the study found that corn requires 29% more fossil energy then fuel produced; wood biomass 57% more then fossil energy then fuel produced. Bob has a plan for fusion reactor development. 1/ Ambient temperature superconductive material makes this feasable.2/ Fusion energy generation is the best potential for American leadership and profit for world energy solutions.3/ Our government has subcontracted this important research to the French and is paying them 1 billion dollars to get the French in a leadership role. 4/ Fusion energy is totally non-poluting and environment friendly.Fast breeder reactors and a means to dispose of the waste. Linear gun to the sun, etc.

For Defense Bob says that the constitution provides that the defense of the country is the prime responsibility for the federal government. However, it needs to be emphasized that a functional federal government and sufficient energy to support a high standard of living are actually more important. There is no need to aggressively defend a country that has no effective government and a low standard of living. America is the strongest and most powerful country in the world. He is not saying this is a bad thing but America has made a few mistakes according to Bob. He thinks The US can not and should not be the policemen for the world. But in that respect we cannot let the UN dictate what we do. Make no mistake - America, along with many other countries, are at war with extremist Moslem terrorists and we are losing the war by a death of a thousand cuts. Bob has a plan for the War on Terror. A Libertarian president can work with the congress to get a constitutionally compliant declaration of war. This declaration will define the enemy and war terms. The president will the execute the war. See Bob's issue item "Dysfunctional Govt" for how Bob can uniquely work with Congress as the Constitution requires. As for Iraq he thinks that A Libertarian president can work with the congress to get a constitutionally compliant declaration of war. This declaration will define the enemy and war terms. The president will the execute the war. See Bob's issue item "Dysfunctional Govt" for how Bob can uniquely work with Congress as the Constitution requires.America's foreign policy should be based on free trade among all nations and not military intimidation. Do unto other countries as we want other countries to do unto us. Restructure the military to meet current and future needs.

On Immigration he believes we should seal the border and enforce the laws we already have.
